An earlier, slightly longer version of À PROPOS DE NICE was found in the archives of the filmmaker Jean Painlevé. In a letter to Painlevé, director Jean Vigo wrote, “When I was working on it, I forgot that a film should be entertaining, so it is a little long or repetitive in places, as you noticed.” Presented here are the longer sequences.
